I am a diverse and energetic Industrial designer with a focus on retail consumer goods, and a background in architecture and spacial design. After studying at The Pratt Institute, I began my design career in the New York Metro Area working for large corporations including Conair and Cuisinart as well as smaller groups including my own design consultancy, Laura Abbott Design, LLC. In 2014,  I relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina to become the Lead Industrial Designer of As Seen on TV products for Edison Nation. My specialties include 3D modeling and rendering utilizing Creo (Pro/E Wildfire 4), Keyshot, Rhino, Flamingo, Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Solidworks. I'm skilled at quick and imaginative brainstorming, sketching, comprehensive design research and solid implementation of ideas via detailed specifications, mock-ups and prototypes. I enjoy getting my hands dirty in the shop, I can do one heck of a paint job, and have ample experience running 3D printers including SLA and FDM machines. Also a mother of two!
